Sobriety as a Woman

by Flow Gallegos
(Modesto, Ca. United States)

I am again determined to remain a sober woman.
We are very capable human beings and are given gifts beyond belief.

I have not only been a victim more than once involved in domestic violence I have also been a child that grew up with extremely physical child abuse by my mother.

I have been sexually abused by my physical education teacher while in high school when I was fifteen years old. Besides that having him get me an abortion that was in 1966 on a kitchen table.
I have learned to forgive.

Need to stop at this moment but I am pleased that Mental Health Through Creativity has given me this opportunity to share some of my most deepest pain while I am STILL healing for all that I have personally endured.

There is a wonderful book that was introduced to me at the moment forgot the author but the Title is "Courage to heal exclusive for women" in sexually abused.

What an amazing book it sure did piss me off quite a bit because I could relate to these predators actually men aren't my favorite human's but I am getting better now as I am growing.
